2d Patterns: Voronoi Curve

I’ve been using the parametric house tutorials the past couple weeks to help me through creating things in grasshopper, and so of course this week I did the same. I had already created one of the parametric patters earlier, so I decided to try a different method this time. I followed along with the voronoi curve tutorial, which helped me create some patterns that I never would have expected.

The Major Functions I used were obviously the Voronoi cure, but I also used populate geometry a couple times, and nurbs curve. I then used loft and distance fillet to help create an offset pattern. Of course number sliders were used to help be able to adjust the pattern. I also was able to move the points around to change the flow of the curve.

When I moved the points it changed the ‘flow’ of the pattern in the middle.

Then adjusting the other sliders, I was able to change the number of cells etc, and it came up with some really cool patterns. Here are some examples below.
