Critical making assignment 8

I was excited to do this assignment as I love making things really come to life and help people visualize. I have never used dimension before but I found it much easier than all of the other softwares we have been learning. For this assignment I decided to take the stamp I made previously and show it in different materials and desks. I wanted to work on making it look as real as possible on the desk.

For my first try, I seperated the stamp handle and plate. I went with wood and a plastic finish. I had a hard time getting the details on the stamp plate to really show clearly once the image was rendered.

My next attempt was from a much different perspective. I struggled with this one because I could not get the right camera angle/persepective to match the image. So when I was trying to adjust the placement and angle, it just never really looked like. I worked with the lighting to try to match the colors of the image. It was fun figuring out how to get the stamp plate angled just right so that I could slide it in the handle. I still dont think the perspective of the stamp is really at the right angle for this image, but this was as close as i could get it.

For my last scene, I added to stamp plates in different materials, and changed the wood of the handle. I also added a water bottle to the desk and added the material and a logo. I think this image turned out the best. The only struggle was when I would render the image the detail would disappear on the white stamp plate.

Again, I really liked this assignment, and want to explore what type of posistions would allow me to really explore this step in depth.
